Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History recently benefitted from the diligent labors of several dedicated Cummins employees; a group of energetic volunteers devoted many hours to weeding and mulching the butterfly gardens and maintaining the sidewalk and driveway at the RTPI headquarters on Curtis Street in Jamestown. They did an outstanding job of making the grounds look crisp and appealing just in time for a highly anticipated event; the artist reception with John and Suzie Seerey-Lester that officially opened RTPI’s current exhibition – “Keeping the World Wild” – showcasing the stunning paintings of this talented duo.

This wasn’t the first time that RTPI has been graced by the efforts of Cummins’ employee volunteers – past projects they have contributed to include clearing and maintaining trails, painting gallery walls and pedestal cases, washing windows, and other general maintenance duties inside our building and on our grounds.
Cummins believes a company is only as healthy as the communities where they do business, and their mission is to serve and improve our communities by involving Jamestown Engine Plant employees in proactive service. Employees volunteer in the community through a variety of opportunities generally focused in three priority areas: Education, Environment, and Social Justice.
