#30Paintings30Days – September-October 2020
The Roger Tory Peterson Institute launched a new artist-in-residence program in the fall of 2020. Local artist Robin Zefers Clark spent 30 days in the RTPI preserve creating a painting a day inspired by the beauty she discovered here. All 30 of Robin’s paintings are on exhibit at RTPI through January 3rd, 2021. More information about Robin Clark and her work can be found on her website at brooksidestudio.com.
#30Blooms30Days – May 2020
As spring unfolded around us, so did the wondrous species of wildflowers that Roger Tory Peterson captured in “The Peterson Field Guide to Wildflowers”. To celebrate this explosion of color, we introduced 30 Blooms in 30 Days. During the month of May, we shared images of the flowers featured in Peterson’s field guide, as well as other varieties captured by Roger Tory Peterson, RTPI staff, and friends. A reminder that life can flourish even when rooted in one place. Visit us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to like and share your favorite images from the #30Blooms30Days campaign!
#30Birds30Days – April 2020
During the month of April, we launched a social media campaign called “30 Birds in 30 Days”. For thirty consecutive days we shared images – from Roger Tory Peterson, RTPI staff, artists and friends – of the birds we love. A reminder that while we were social distancing, spring was a-popping. Our favorite birds returning to our backyards. To our nature preserves. They were all around, if we took the time to look. The complete collection of images shared throughout the month are included in the gallery below.
