Halloween Sunset
Can a sunset look like autumn or Halloween? I think so because I think this one does! Today’s cold front will finally make it feel a little more like the actual season for a bit. Be sure to try to enjoy some nature this week whether you go bird watching, for a hike, a stroll in the park, playing with the kids or the dog – something, anything, to help your health and well being in the great outdoors. Everyone seemed to enjoy these sunset photos from last week at Stratford Point so I thought I would share them with all of you here, too. It has been so satisfying to see our gorgeous gardens being so busy after a year of hard work by staff and volunteers watering, weeding, planting additions, and maintaining everything we have to offer our pollinators and birds. This was a surprising sunset last week on a day that I did not expect any sort of light show. It turns out that the clouds parted just enough to let the light in while getting that special glow. Unfortunately I was rather far from any water or hill, unable to get a great view of a spectacular scene unfolding so rapidly and ending so briefly. Even though the “best” part of this sunset was far to the north behind the passing cold front it still provided a lovely look to the horizon on a cloudy evening.
