Groundhog Day? Not quite! The grass is a little too green for that…but this woodchuck was on guard while having an evening meal and keeping a watchful eye over the yard. It seems to be casting a little bit of a shadow, even without all those TV lights surrounding it. Does that mean we will have six more weeks of summer?

Happy Groundhog Day all! While the groundhogs are sending mixed messages, with New York’s Stanton Island Chuck not seeing his shadow and Punxsutawny Phil seeing his shadow, it looks as though winter is here to stay here in Western New York. Much of the region received several inches of snow between yesterday and today and more is in the forecast for later this week. So what do you think? Will this wintery scene be our view for the next six weeks, or is an early spring just around the corner?
