This is the male Painted Bunting (Passerina ciris), a species that RTPI Affiliate Sean Graesser notes has an apt Spanish name: Colorín Sietecolores (seven colors). This was the last subject that Sean photographed Meet Your Neighbours style before he left Costa Rica, a very fitting end to a wonderful season there!
