Low Winter Snowy Sun
This low winter snowy sun is everything that I love about January as we watch it slowly climb through the sky against our arctic tundra-like landscapes, the trees covered in snow that will be filled with buds and blooms within only a few months. I took this photo yesterday minutes from RTPI in Jamestown. We are about to hit the peak of fall foliage in Western New York and this weekend’s clear, deep blue, autumn skies made for some magnificent moments. This scene has a look of fire and smoke as the leaves continue to change and the sky fills with lake effect clouds in the Chautauqua-Allegheny region while temperatures continue to drop.
