Signs Are Going Up!
We are one month and counting until the winter trails officially open for snowmobile, ski and snowshoe activities to begin! Our “Nature at Your Fingertips” cell phone tour signs are in the process of being erected at 30 different locations and the tour itself is getting a major face-lift! With Orbitist providing the new platform, our tour will be easier to use and I think a lot more fun! This weekend is going to be a B-E-A-Utiful one for all that enjoy getting outdoors during this time of year in Chautauqua County! With the latest storms passing through from the Midwest this week, there is ample snow for everyone to play in. This storm looks promising for all of us that have been patiently waiting for more snow. Snowmobile trails have yet to open this season and so we have all been doing our snow dances in hopes of being able to get out for a ride and use the newly expanded “Nature at Your Fingertips” snowmobile cell phone tour spread across Chautauqua County. The trails need about 12 inches of snow to compact down to 3 inches of base using the clubs large fleet of groomers.
