Roger Tory Peterson, one of America’s foremost artists, naturalists and ornithologists, and creator of the Peterson Field Guide series, was one of the first to make the world of birds accessible to everyone. In keeping with Peterson’s legacy, the Roger Tory Peterson Institute invites you for a field trip to the Buffalo Zoo on August 20th to experience Boomerang Island, an interactive exhibit comprised of over 300 birds representing a variety of species native to the Australian Outback.
