Explore Chautauqua County Natural and Cultural History This Winter
Explore: Through this one-of-a-kind program, “Nature at Your Fingertips” takes users on a journey throughout Chautauqua County, exploring its historical and natural landmarks. In collaboration with Chautauqua Lake Snowmobile Club, Cherry Creek Sno-Goers, Ellery Sno-Cruisers, Lake Effect Trail Breakers, and Sunset Drifters thirty locations are highlighted and each tell a fascinating story through rich content.
Experience: By scanning the QR code in the map ad or visiting https://orbitist.space/maps/map/90 users can experience the stories waiting to be told at each stop location. Audio, photographs, videos, web links or social media feeds can be accessed through the fully interactive map. The tour is free** for all online users.
Engage: Engaging in our locally rich natural and cultural history aids in preserving these places for future generations to enjoy. Additionally, our trails rely on healthy habitats to support outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, skiing and snowshoeing. Join RTPI in protecting these local resources.
Everyone: Anyone snowmobiling, skiing, snowshoeing or hiking on the winter trail systems are welcomed to engage in this program. The stops can be accessed in any order and users can try out as few or as many tour stops anytime they are on the map!
