Museum Tours
Bring your group to RTPI’s iconic headquarters and tour exhibits of Roger Tory Peterson’s iconic art and work by featured nature artists. Guided group tours will give you an in-depth view of featured artwork in the galleries, Roger Tory Peterson’s career as an artist and naturalist, and the unique details and history behind the Institute’s beautiful building, an architectural gem designed by architect Robert A.M. Stern.
Nature Walks and Talks
Explore the same local areas that Roger Tory Peterson once roamed in search of wildflowers, birds, and other wildlife that inspired his art and writing. RTPI staff will help you experience local nature like Peterson did as you explore the Roger Tory Peterson Institute’s preserve and marvel at the natural beauty that is hidden in our own backyard.
Field Trips for School Groups
Our field trip experiences for school groups include an hour and a half of structured activities which include a lesson on Roger Tory Peterson and his field guides, a tour of our current exhibits, and a nature walk/scavenger hunt on our trails. Activities and topics can be customized to suit your curriculum.
