Snowmobiling in Chautauqua County

While some stayed inside and enjoyed the beautiful, bitter cold landscape from the windowsill, many others were out in the winter wonderland that engulfed Chautauqua County this past weekend. Most of the county club’s snowmobile trails were open for traffic to traverse through the fields and forests, providing a unique opportunity to enjoy the incredible natural resources the county has to offer. Let it Snow!

This storm looks promising for all of us that have been patiently waiting for more snow. Snowmobile trails have yet to open this season and so we have all been doing our snow dances in hopes of being able to get out for a ride and use the newly expanded “Nature at Your Fingertips” snowmobile cell phone tour spread across Chautauqua County. Stay tuned for more updates on the tour and we hope you enjoy it this winter season!

Cell Phone Tour Work Continues

Now that the harvest season has come to a close, Thanksgiving has passed and all the leaves are finally on the ground, we are getting ready for the snow to fly and for another year of our “Nature at Your Fingertips” cell phone tour to hit the snowmobile trails! Development of this tour was made possible in part through support from the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation. This past weekend we bundled up and erected more of our signs in preparation for the season opener on December 17th (weather willing of course!). This year’s tour will feature 25 stops packed full...
