Let it Snow!
This storm looks promising for all of us that have been patiently waiting for more snow. Snowmobile trails have yet to open this season and so we have all been doing our snow dances in hopes of being able to get out for a ride and use the newly expanded “Nature at Your Fingertips” snowmobile cell phone tour spread across Chautauqua County. The trails need about 12 inches of snow to compact down to 3 inches of base using the clubs large fleet of groomers. It’s official! Hunting season is over and opening day of the snowmobiling season is upon us. Although we are patiently waiting for more snow to arrive and trails to open, we are busily putting the finishing touches on our “Nature at Your Fingertips” Snowmobile Cell Phone Tour. This year our tour stops will be easy to find thanks to the Snowmobile Clubs of Chautauqua County for including them onto the county snowmobile trail map. Now that the harvest season has come to a close, Thanksgiving has passed and all the leaves are finally on the ground, we are getting ready for the snow to fly and for another year of our “Nature at Your Fingertips” cell phone tour to hit the snowmobile trails!
