“Elevated Perspective” is a 9-inch bronze rendering of a snowy owl by artist Dale Weiler. RTPI is currently selling raffle tickets for a drawing to be held the first week of September. This sculpture, one of a limited edition of 50, is valued at $1500, and may also be purchased at this price. All proceeds from the sales of “Elevated Perspective” will support RTPI’s Project Wild America Youth Ambassadors Program which engages young people in RTPI’s conservation initiatives in Jamestown’s urban ecosystem – the very place that inspired a young Roger Tory Peterson.

An elegant sculpture entitled “Well-Feathered Arrow” by Dale Weiler is currently on view in our new exhibition, “The Weilers Evolution; A Father and Son’s Artistic Journey”. But this lovely piece is actually a reincarnation of the original piece entitled “Fluid Dynamics” that was intended to be debuted here as part of the Society of Animal Artists Show in 2015! Ol’ Three Toes the Bull Frog

This piece – carved from a rock known as Utah alabaster by artist Dale Weiler – is currently on view at RTPI. Weiler explains: “This was my very first stone carving, which I created in Maine in 1992 at my first (and only) stone sculpting class. I was smitten the moment my hand touched stone and I knew I was born to be a stone sculptor.” Come in and see all of the pieces by Dale and his late father Milton C. Artist Dale Weiler Creates Bronze Owl Sculpture to Benefit RTPI

We are very excited to announce the release of a limited edition bronze sculpture created by Dale Weiler to support Roger Tory Peterson Institute’s conservation through education initiative; the Project Wild America Youth Ambassador’s Program! The bronze, “Elevated Perspective”, is a 9-inch rendering of a snowy owl, one of Peterson’s favorite species to paint and the icon for RTPI.
