In the summer of 2012, we held the first and what remains as the only national interdisciplinary fly fishing conference. The Children in the Stream’s intensive three-day conference continues to be a huge success as it trains adults who are interested in integrating fly fishing into the curriculum in their community, school, organization or company. At the end of February, staff member Linda Pierce and I had the opportunity to attend the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) 2015 Museums Advocacy Day conference in Washington, D.C.! By attending the conference, we became part of the effort to make a case for museums across the country.
